Biography
Mr. Youmans is the managing partner in the Los Angeles office of Seyfarth Shaw LLP. He is a member of the Labor & Employment department and a member of the Executive, Administrative and Compensation Committees. During the 35 years he has been associated with Seyfarth Shaw, Mr. Youmans has represented a wide variety of private sector clients in virtually every aspect of labor and employment law. Specifically, he has extensive experience in employment discrimination matters, including proceedings before the EEOC and DFEH, and in civil litigation of employment disputes (collective, complex and class actions); administrative proceedings before the NLRB, the United States Department of Labor, and the California Division of Labor Standards Enforcement (wage and hour matters); and collective bargaining and labor arbitrations.
In addition to his broad legal experience in employment law matters, Mr. Youmans has lectured frequently on labor law issues, has participated in various seminars for employers on timely topics in the field of employment law, and has taught labor relations at the University of Southern California’s Graduate School of Business.
