Biography

A partner in the Boston office of Seyfarth Shaw LLP, Mr. Chappell has practiced for over twenty-five years in the areas of commercial finance, loan workout and restructure, commercial real estate development and leasing, secured lending and commercial real estate lending. He currently represents numerous institutional banking clients in commercial loan facilities, and has a well developed expertise in a broad range of transactions, including syndicated, industrial, commercial and construction financing, asset-based revolving loans and term loans, lines of credit, letters of credit, as well as issuance of industrial revenue bonds, “layered” financing projects and the like.

Mr. Chappell also has experience in representing lenders in troubled loan transactions, including workout, restructure and insolvency and in participation arrangements, sales of assets and buy and sell agreements. In addition, he represents several real estate developers in the acquisition, financing, permitting, construction, and sale or lease of property.
