Biography
Mr. Janson is an associate in the Labor & Employment Department of Seyfarth Shaw LLP. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Janson was a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney where he dealt with employment litigation in federal court involving Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Age Discrimination Act (ADEA). He also served as lead counsel in employment litigation proceedings before the Equal Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB) while working for the National Gallery of Art. While there, he represented the Gallery in connection with traditional labor relation matters, including collective bargaining agreement negotiation and unfair labor practice proceedings. He also provided day-to-day advice, counseling and training to management officials in various aspects of employment law and human resources, including employee discipline, handbooks, interviewing, personnel policies, investigation of claims of harassment and discrimination and compliance with the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA).Education
