Kenneth L. Wilton

Biography

Mr. Wilton is a partner in the Intellectual Property Group of Seyfarth Shaw LLP. His practice focuses primarily on trademark, copyright and patent litigation in the U.S. federal courts, and counseling and prosecution in the areas of trademark and copyright law. He has extensive experience litigating trademark disputes before the Trademark Trial and Appeals Board of the United States Patent and Trademark Office, as well as the filing and prosecution of trademark applications. He has supervised the conduct of international anti-counterfeiting activities involving the enforcement of trademark and copyright laws throughout the world. He is experienced in and regularly counsels clients regarding Internet-related trademark and copyright issues, and has filed over two dozen proceedings under the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy ("UDRP").

Mr. Wilton has lectured in the areas of copyright and trademark law, including the protection of intellectual property on the Internet and domain name disputes, to professional and business organizations. He has taught copyright law on the Internet at USC’s Gould School of Law, and intellectual property and Internet law at Pepperdine’s Graziadio School of Business.

In the 2006 and 2008 bi-annual surveys conducted by Managing Intellectual Property of over 4,000 practitioners in 60 countries, Mr. Wilton was named one of the “World's Leading Trade Mark Law Practitioners.” In 2006 and 2007, he was awarded the title “Super Lawyer” in surveys of his peers conducted by Law & Politics, and he was included in the 2008 Super Lawyers, Corporate Counsel Edition.

Mr. Wilton has achieved the highest rating, A/V, by Martindale Hubbell.
