Biography

Ms. Mertineit is an associate in the Litigation Department of Seyfarth Shaw LLP, and is a member of the Commercial Litigation and Securities and Financial Litigation Practice Groups. Her practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, primarily representing corporations and their directors and officers in all stages of litigation.  Ms. Mertineit’s experience includes both defending against and litigating a variety of claims, including partnership disputes, banking and finance matters, breach of contract suits, product and premises liability actions, tort actions, and trade secret and non-compete matters.  Ms. Mertineit’s clients include banking institutions, manufacturers, supermarkets, and various other business ventures.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Mertineit participated in the Boston University School of Law Criminal Clinic, serving as a student prosecutor in Quincy District Court, and completed the Concentration in Litigation and Dispute Resolution with honors.
