Biography

David C. Christian II is a bankruptcy partner in the Chicago office of Seyfarth Shaw LLP, where he focuses on bankruptcy and distressed transactions. Among other representations, Mr. Christian serves as national coordinating counsel in strategic bankruptcy matters for an international insurance company. In that capacity, he has worked on mass torts such as asbestos, silica and other environmental contamination and clergy abuse.

Mr. Christian devotes a substantial portion of his practice to the sale or acquisition of distressed businesses, including as part of the bankruptcy auction process, in foreclosure sales, and in assignments for the benefit of creditors. He also regularly advises clients in bankruptcy litigation involving fraudulent transfer issues, intercreditor disputes, directors and officers liability, and other disputes.
