Biography

Mr. Besch is an associate in the Labor and Employment Practice Group of Seyfarth Shaw LLP’s Los Angeles office.

Mr. Besch maintains a broad litigation and counseling practice representing public and private employers in both unionized and non-unionized work environments. His experiences have included numerous lawsuits in federal and California state courts defending against claims of wrongful termination, violations of leave laws, employment discrimination, and sexual and other forms of harassment. He has also represented employers in enforcement proceedings brought by the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs and in evidentiary hearings before the California Labor Commissioner. In addition, Mr. Besch has represented public employers on writs of administrative mandamus and in cases before the California Public Employment Relations Board. Mr. Besch has also sought labor injunctions against striking unions to prevent mass picketing, represented employers in labor arbitrations, and contested representation petitions in proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board.
