Biography

As Director of Pro Bono and Philanthropy, Ms. Hill manages Seyfarth Shaw’s pro bono, charitable giving, and community services programs in the firm’s nine offices throughout the United States. Along with the Pro Bono Partner, Ms. Hill assists the firm’s attorneys with their pro bono commitments and identifies additional opportunities for both firm attorneys and clients to provide volunteer legal representation. Ms. Hill also assists with the administration of the Seyfarth Shaw Charitable Foundation, through which attorneys and staff can request grants to qualified non-profit organizations on behalf of the firm. Ms. Hill helps place Seyfarth attorneys and staff on the boards and committees of non-profit organizations.

Previously, Ms. Hill was an associate in the firm’s Employee Benefits Department, where she advised employers on qualified retirement and welfare plan matters. She was also an associate in the Litigation Department, where her areas of practice included contractual disputes, product liability defense, tort defense, and construction litigation. For several years, Ms. Hill has defended a Chicago supportive housing organization against housing discrimination claims in both state and federal court.

Prior to attending law school, Ms. Hill worked as a TV news photographer at KCCI-TV in Des Moines, Iowa and as a reporter for a suburban Chicago newspaper.
