Biography

Mr. Stotland is a partner practicing intellectual property law in the Chicago Office of Seyfarth Shaw LLP. He is experienced in patents, trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets, in preparing and prosecuting applications for various types of intellectual properties as well as handling litigation involving intellectual property. In the patent field, he has handled diverse technologies, including E-commerce, software, hand tools, kitchen utensils, shoes, incense, engine analyzers, picture frames, check writers, electricity-transmission servicing equipment, bulbs, shelving, steel processing, fishing products and valves. He has handled numerous litigations involving patents and trademarks throughout the U.S. and has conducted trials in a number of those litigations. Mr. Stotland has also served as a consulting expert and as a testifying expert in patent litigation.
