Biography
Ms. Haack concentrates her practice in the area of employee benefits, counseling clients on the design and administration of all types of retirement and welfare benefit plans. She has experience drafting plan documents and summary plan descriptions and advising clients concerning government filing requirements and correction programs. She also advises clients on benefits issues related to corporate mergers, acquisitions and dispositions. She has successfully aided clients in resolving retirement plan correction issues with the IRS through the Employee Plans Compliance Resolution System and fiduciary issues through the Voluntary Fiduciary Correction Program of the Department of Labor. Ms. Haack also advises non-profit and governmental entities with respect to their Code Section 403(b) and 457 retirement plans. She has extensive experience advising clients on church plan issues and with respect to plan design and compliance with COBRA, HIPAA, claims and cafeteria plan issues. Before becoming an attorney, Ms. Haack worked in the area of employee benefits administration and communications.Education
