Biography
Ms. Knox is a partner in the San Francisco office of Seyfarth Shaw LLP where her practice focuses on ERISA litigation. Her experience lies in defending ERISA plan fiduciaries in the wave of 401(k) fee and revenue sharing class actions filed across the country. She has spent the past 11 years representing single-employer benefit plans, administrators and insurers in all aspects of ERISA litigation. Ms. Knox has provided fiduciary training to plan administrators and investment committees and advised claims administrators and appeals committees on claim issues. She represented employers in litigation matters involving, among other things, wrongful termination, all types of employment discrimination and harassment under Title VII and FEHA, and claims under the Americans with Disabilities Act, Age Discrimination in Employment Act and the federal and state leave laws. Ms. Knox represented clients in federal and state courts, as well as before the relevant federal and state agencies. Before her leave, she regularly counseled employers on issues ranging from hiring practices to discipline and termination procedures. Ms. Knox is a frequent speaker on ERISA and employment issues.
Ms. Knox is currently on a leave of absence from the Firm to serve as the Executive Director of a global alliance of law firms. She is located in Brussels, Belgium.
