Biography
Mr. Kauffman represents and advises management in a broad range of industries regarding all aspects of labor and employment law. His areas of special concentration include labor relations (such as collective bargaining, labor disputes, work stoppages, corporate campaigns, union avoidance, unfair labor practice trials, representation hearings, arbitrations, injunction proceedings), and the frequently complex labor and employment aspects of mergers, acquisitions, workforce reductions and other forms of business restructuring. Mr. Kauffman is committed to helping clients maximize value in business deals and transactions. Mr. Kauffman's practice also includes substantial litigation before state and federal courts and administrative agencies, and he is a member of the Chicago federal court trial bar. He regularly counsels management through challenging situations with the dual objectives of minimizing litigation risk and maintaining positive employee relations.Education
