Allegra Rich and Dana Hill Featured in Chicago Lawyer "Lawyers Take on New Roles"

Allegra Rich and Dana Hill were featured in the June 2008 issue of Chicago Lawyer in the article, “Lawyers Take on New Roles.” The article reported on the emergence of new roles appearing in law firms in an effort to address, improve, and strengthen firms’ commitments to areas such as pro bono and professional development.

The article noted that Allegra organizes the firm’s pro bono programs in its nine offices throughout the United States encouraging each lawyer to participate in pro bono community service, and she brings an overall strategic order to is charitable programs. It also highlighted Dana’s role as the director of pro bono and philanthropy working with Allegra and handling pro bono cases.

Allegra remarked, “Before we came into these positions, each office did its own thing with respect to pro bono and community service…. Now people are more aware of community service opportunities; and we are more organized in our events.”

Dana added, “As a practicing attorney, it can be challenging to know who to exactly talk to about a pro bono case you are working on…. Those associates and other attorneys who want to take on pro bono matters can talk to us.”
