More About Leslie

Employment law matters can be very sensitive for employers because there are often so many emotions involved on both sides. Leslie strives to be sensitive to the emotional side, while offering solid legal advice and counsel to her clients.

Leslie has worked in both law firms and in-house, so she understands the challenges clients face both from the legal perspective, but also from the business perspective. Prior to joining Seyfarth, she worked in-house for a retail and food services company with more than 30,000 employees throughout the US. In that position, she advised human resources professionals and senior management in all aspects of employment law compliance; investigated and responded to equal employment opportunity complaints and wage claims filed with state and federal agencies; managed outside counsel on employment litigation matters; developed and conducted sexual harassment training for management employees; completely revamped the company's corporate compliance program pertaining to state and federal wage-and-hour laws; and revised existing polices and drafted new policies relevant to equal employment and wage-and-hour compliance.

Leslie has significant experience in all phases of litigation and trial work, as well as the administrative process and alternative dispute resolution. She has also counseled clients regarding employment policies and manuals, and assisted in developing client employment law seminars.

While Leslie's practice is focused primarily on responding to administrative charges and single-plaintiff litigation, she has touched on almost every aspect of labor and employment law, giving her a well-rounded understanding of the different matters her clients face in these areas. She has worked on class actions, wage-and-hour matters, Family and Medical Leave Act matters, ERISA matters, and labor negotiations.

Leslie uses the various innovative tools the firm has developed, including document automation and computer-assisted document review, to increase efficiency, communication flow, and cut down on fees.

"I love working with the amazing group of smart, talented, and enthusiastic lawyers we have at Seyfarth."
