Kristin McGurn was quoted in "When your Employer Cancels your Vacation," an April 12 story from Boston.com on whether an employer can ask you to cancel your vacation plans. McGurn said that many Massachusetts retailers impose black-out periods during which employees are instructed not to schedule vacation, for example because customer traffic is expected to be heavy during certain seasons.
