Kyle Petersen was quoted in "Waiting Periods for Vacation Accruals May Be on the Way Out," a May 8 story from SHRM on how new employees today often have to work for 90 days to a year before taking time off. Petersen said that employers are moving away from imposing waiting periods for vacation accruals because of the proliferation of paid-sick-leave entitlements.
