Seyfarth’s Jennifer Kraft Named to Crain’s Chicago 2019 List of “Notable Gen X Leaders in Law”

Seyfarth Shaw Chicago partner Jennifer Kraft (Employee Benefits) was recognized as one of the “Notable Gen X Leaders in Law” by Crain’s Chicago.

The lawyers listed as “Notable Gen X Leaders in Law” include some of the top practitioners in Chicago handling employee benefits, intellectual property, corporate restructuring and class-action defense cases. Diversity and inclusion are also on the radar of many listed lawyers, and a number make a point of mentoring young associates.

As an employee benefits partner at Seyfarth Shaw, Jennifer Kraft assists Fortune 500 companies with their employee benefits plans and the laws that affect those plans. Kraft is the first associate to make partner while working on a reduced-hours schedule after having children. Kraft leads the Seyfarth women's network efforts in the Chicago office and is vice chair of the firmwide women's affinity group. In that role, she provides business development programming and has led the group's philanthropic efforts with the United Nations Foundation’s Girl Up initiative across Seyfarth's offices worldwide. She leads the lawyer development committee for the firm’s employee benefits group and serves as a coach and mentor in Seyfarth’s coaching and mentoring programs. She also serves on the firm's charitable foundation board.
