Seyfarth Shaw was named one of “America’s Top Corporate Law Firms” in 2019 by Forbes. In Seyfarth’s profile, Forbes wrote:
A prominent player in labor and employment law, Seyfarth helped draft the Taft-Hartley Act of 1947, which restricted the power of unions. Nearly 80 years later, the law firm continues to handle complex labor litigation, including wage discrimination and pension cases, and it has expertise in international labor law. In 2018, under the leadership of chairman Peter C. Miller, the firm won two landmark Supreme Court rulings during the same term.

As law firms look to increase diversity among associates and partners with programs and initiatives reaching out to women and black, Latino, Asian-American, and LGBT individuals and groups, Forbes also noted Seyfarth as one of the few firms on their list with a chief diversity officer.
To create the Forbes “America’s Top Corporate Law Firms” list, the market research company Statista conducted an online survey of lawyers, both at law firms and in-house at companies, between April 1 and May 17, 2019. Approximately 95,000 lawyers were invited to participate in the survey, and 2,500 responded. Each survey participant was able to select certain areas of law in which to make recommendations, and each participant could make ten recommendations per area of law. Self-recommendations were not considered. The law firms that received the most recommendations were included on the list. To view the full list, click here.
