Adam Laughton is a partner in the Corporate department of Seyfarth Shaw LLP's Houston office. His practice focuses on transactional and regulatory matters for providers and entrepreneurs in the healthcare industry.

Mr. Laughton has served many types of providers within the healthcare system, including facilities, physicians and other professionals, and ancillary service providers such as pharmacies and laboratories. He also works with start-up ventures, entrepreneurial individuals and groups, and provider joint ventures.  He has expertise in a wide array of regulatory and compliance matters, including HIPAA, Stark/Anti-Kickback, False Claims Act, and state law issues.  In addition, he frequently assists clients with corporate and transactional matters including mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations and developing complex organizational and contractual structures for innovative ventures.

During law school, Mr. Laughton served as a clerk for Chief Justice Christine M. Durham of the Utah Supreme Court. He spent two years during college as a volunteer missionary in Mexico and is fluent in Spanish. Mr. Laughton serves on the firm’s Pro Bono Committee representing the Houston office, and as a co-chair of the Houston Election Protection Leadership Council under the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law.
