More About Amanda

There is a growing trend for employees to take legal action in courts and tribunals for different purposes. Employers look to Amanda for ways to navigate the legal and strategic challenges and opportunities presented by such litigation.

Since joining Seyfarth in 2014, Amanda has acted for clients in high-stakes litigation in the Fair Work Commission, state and federal courts, and tribunals at both trial and appellate levels. She has supported employers across all aspects of employment and workplace relations, including performance management, enterprise bargaining, industrial action and claims of unfair dismissal and discrimination. Amanda's promotion to senior associate in January 2019 reflects her status as a highly skilled and valued member of the team.

Amanda's two-year associateship to the Honourable Shane Marshall at the Federal Court of Australia prior to joining Seyfarth provides her with unique insight into the complex and often demanding litigation process. She also draws on her secondment as legal counsel at a leading corporate client to find the optimal legal strategy from a practical perspective. She uses Seyfarth's bespoke technology to manage document-heavy litigation and efficiently collaborate with clients and legal teams.

Amanda enjoys giving back to the community through participation in the Fair Work Commission's pro bono Workplace Advisory Service, the Melbourne Law School Mentor program, and support of other charitable initiatives.

Amanda loves working at Seyfarth because it offers her the opportunity to work in a fascinating and dynamic area of law with leading employers on the issues that matter to them. She also enjoys the innovative and fun workplace culture.
