The Workplace Safety and Health (OSHA/MSHA) Practice Group assists clients in navigating state and federal safety and health laws to find practical business solutions to workplace safety and health problems.
We are counselors, advisors, negotiators, trial lawyers and appellate advocates with respect to all elements of workplace safety and health laws, and we take a practical, efficient, hands-on approach to addressing issues arising under those laws. We have deep experience in the full spectrum of workplace safety and health matters arising under the Occupational Safety and Health Act, state health and safety plans, and the Mine Safety and Health Act. Members of our Workplace Safety and Health Practice Group assist clients with compliance, internal audits, expert retention and evaluation, agency inspections, catastrophe response, litigation, and appeals. Our working relationships with many federal and state regulatory agencies provides us with practical insights often needed to solve unique client dilemmas. The Environmental Compliance, Enforcement & Permitting Practice assists clients in navigating local, state and federal environmental and safety laws to find practical business solutions to environmental and safety problems.
We are counselors, advisors, negotiators, trial lawyers and appellate advocates with respect to all elements of environmental and safety laws, and we take a practical, efficient, hands-on approach to addressing environmental and risk management issues.
We represent a broad range of industry, including heavy industry, chemicals and pharmaceuticals manufacturing, explosives and propellants, solid and hazardous waste disposal, medium and light industrial manufacturing, ammonia and refrigerants, and tankers and transportation. We have extensive experience with solid waste disposal operations, Clean Water Act and Clean Air Act permitting and compliance, brownfields development and liability issues associated with contaminated property. We address the full spectrum of compliance and enforcement matters.
