Lisa A. Dreishmire is counsel in the Labor & Employment department of the Seyfarth Shaw LLP Chicago office. Ms. Dreishmire is a skilled litigator with extensive experience as lead counsel for federal and state class action, multi-plaintiff and single plaintiff litigation, arbitration and appeals involving claims of alleged employment discrimination, harassment and retaliation, breach of employment contract, trade secrets, benefits and other issues. She is also experienced in affirmative litigation such as enforcement of non-competition and non-disclosure agreements, and trade secret protection as well as ERISA, OSHA, and traditional labor law and commercial litigation matters. Ms. Dreishmire has worked extensively with e-discovery solutions. She balances legal and business interests while negotiating creative solutions for her clients.

Ms. Dreishmire’s employment law experience also includes drafting and advising clients on policies, best practices and liability avoidance, non-competition, employment, confidentiality and release agreements, employee handbooks and other workplace strategies. She provides training on a wide range of employment law and other issues, including preparing for and responding to data breaches. Ms. Dreishmire is dedicated to achieving the best results for her clients from both legal and practical perspectives. She serves as a Member of the Illinois State Bar Association's Federal Civil Practice Committee.

Prior to joining Seyfarth Shaw, Ms. Dreishmire served as Assistant Deputy General Counsel for Federal Litigation for the Board of Education of the City of Chicago and was a shareholder with a multinational employment law firm.
