Matthew Wiener is an associate in the New York office of Seyfarth Shaw LLP. He is a member of the firm’s Corporate Department with experience in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, capital markets and general corporate law. Mr. Wiener’s practice involves advising clients in various corporate and commercial transactions, and generally includes: acquisitions and dispositions, derivatives-related transactions, stock purchase agreements, entity formations and securities law compliance.

While attending law school at St. John’s University School of Law, Mr. Wiener received the Deans Award for Excellence in Contracts II and in Accounting for Lawyers and the James L. and Regina B. Purcell Award for Excellence in Mergers and Acquisitions.

Prior to joining Seyfarth, Mr. Wiener was a legal intern for the Honorable Marguerite A. Grays and the Honorable Peter J. O’Donoghue in the Queens County Supreme Court, New York and participated in the St. John’s University School of Law Securities Arbitration Clinic.
