Today's employers face myriad challenges in the complex world of employment law. Clients turn to Michelle to assist them with litigation avoidance by advising them on employee discipline decisions; reviewing and modifying employment policies; negotiating and preparing employment and confidentiality agreements; and complying with all aspects of federal, state, and local employment laws.

Michelle represents employers from a broad array of industries, including agriculture, retail, insurance, trucking, medical, and technology, in all aspects of employment litigation, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour, and class action matters in state and federal courts. Outside the traditional employment litigation arena, Michelle also represents companies, both as plaintiffs and defendants, in trade secret misappropriation, unfair competition, and other business tort matters.

Her practice of law began in the court system, where she as a law clerk to a federal district judge. Michelle has more than 10 years of experience in that position, which informs her litigation and advice and counsel work. She has a unique perspective in assessing how judges will rule, having sat on the side of the decision-maker. She knows how cases are assessed, how motions are resolved, and how juries decide.
