Michelle Palka is an associate in the firm’s Real Estate practice of Seyfarth Shaw LLP’s Chicago office. Her practice focuses on the financing, development, construction, acquisition and disposition of a variety of commercial real estate properties. Michelle’s practice also encompasses corporate consulting, development and management of all forms of real estate assets and interests.

Prior to joining Seyfarth Shaw LLP, Michelle summered at one of the Big Four Accounting Firms where she worked on getting tax credits for businesses and tax restructuring. Prior to her time there, Michelle also summered at the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office.

While in law school, Michelle served as a staff editor on Law Review. She also served as a clinician in Washington University’s Tax Law Clinic where she advised entrepreneurs and individuals seeking legal assistance with tax issues. She was recognized for her pro-bono efforts by earning a Public Service Award and she continues her dedication to pro bono work today by serving as a pro bono attorney at the Cook County Domestic Violence Clinic.
