Rebecca is an associate in the International Employment Law Practice of Seyfarth Shaw Australia’s Sydney office.

Rebecca has experience providing practical and commercially focussed advice to clients across a broad range of industries in both the private and public sector. In particular, she has experience:

  • Advising and preparing documents in relation to all stages of the employment relationship, including: employment contracts; policies and procedures; performance management and disciplinary issues; redundancies and restructures; and exit negotiations and deeds of release
  • Coordinating and conducting workplace investigations of varying scope and complexity
  • Conducting employment due diligence reviews in relation to large M&A transactions and providing strategic advice about issues that arise
  • Preparing and co-presenting human resources training programs to clients
  • Advising and acting in relation to complaints of unfair dismissal, general protections, discrimination and restraints of trade in various courts and tribunals.

Prior to joining Seyfarth Shaw, Rebecca worked in a number of diverse roles, including as a policy intern at the Royal Commission into Trade Union Governance and Corruption. Most recently she worked at a large national firm where she notably provided on-call employment law advice to a large aged care provider and was seconded to a NSW government organisation, specialising in employment and work health and safety matters.
