Rebecca Davis is an adept litigator and transaction attorney who focuses on environmental law, public finance and economic development, and litigation. 

Ms. Davis has more than 20 years of environmental consulting, counseling and litigation experience.  Prior to her legal career, Ms. Davis was an environmental consultant, microbiologist and specialty insurance adjuster.  Ms. Davis now uses her unique technical background and legal experience to defend and counsel her clients on a wide array of environmental issues, including regulatory compliance, remediation, permitting, due diligence, brownfields, and alternate energy projects.   She also represents clients in both federal and state courts in complex environmental litigation and enforcement cases involving, among other things, CERCLA and RCRA liability, stormwater violations, toxic mold, lead-based paint violations, and property diminution claims.  Ms. Davis has been named to Georgia Trend Magazine’s list of Legal Elite for environmental law and is involved in many local and national environmental organizations.

Ms. Davis also is an accomplished litigator and has litigated cases in both state and federal courts around the country involving class actions, construction cases, complex commercial disputes, high volume e-discovery cases, and environmental matters.  She also is a skilled business litigator, and frequently litigates complex business disputes relating to public and private finance.  Ms. Davis also focuses on complex real estate litigation and has litigated a wide array of cases including landlord-tenant disputes, lease agreements, boundary disputes, title disputes, and zoning matters. 

Ms. Davis also works with Seyfarth Shaw’s Public Finance and Economic Development practice group. She represents dozens of governmental authorities and agencies and private companies in connection with high profile, complex projects and transactions all over the State of Georgia, with a focus on bond financing and tax allocation districts.  She also counsels both governmental authorities and private companies in connection with the acquisition and financing of contaminated properties.

An active member of the Atlanta community, Ms. Davis volunteers for several charitable organizations and was a coach for the Georgia State University College of Law Mock Trial Team from 2008 to 2014.  She also is a Pro Bono All-Star at Seyfarth Shaw and volunteered for a pro bono matter every year since 2006.
