More About Sharon
In the current immigration landscape, laws are constantly changing and posing challenges to employers for seeking and retaining work visas for their foreign national employees. Sharon leads a legal team of more than 60 people for one of the firm's largest employers. They not only process necessary work visas, but also develop strategies to respond quickly to the ever-changing regulations.
Sharon has been practicing immigration law for more than 30 years. Her experience includes working with small to large employers with business immigration law needs, teaching related immigration law classes at both Georgia State University and University of Georgia's law schools, and speaking at both local and national immigration conferences. Sharon served as the education director for AILA National office, a nonprofit legal organization of more than 10,000 immigration attorneys.
In her practice, Sharon has served extensive liaison roles with AILA, and dealt directly with the government agency officials involved with immigration-related filings. This has provided her with a unique insight into the practice of immigration law. She is well known for anticipating possible shifts in the adjudication process and providing advice to clients on changes needed for their programs, oftentimes before they have identified a problem.
Sharon's experience leading a large team with high-volume workloads has given her great insight into seeking innovative approaches when using SeyfarthLean approach to provide the highest-quality legal services. The extensive technology used by the Seyfarth immigration group allows Sharon's team to provide customized immigration advice quickly and efficiently. Most importantly, she remembers to provide compassionate guidance to the foreign national employees and business leaders who seek consistency and relief in an ever-changing area of law.
Sharon enjoys working at Seyfarth, where she provides cutting-edge legal advice in today's challenging immigration landscape. She knows she can then seek state-of-the-art processes and procedures to apply this advice to high-volume work. Sharon loves the camaraderie of the immigration team, and the way in which everyone can work together to face challenges in this area of practice.
