John Hatherly founded Wynnchurch Capital in 1999. Wynnchurch Capital is a leading Middle Market Private Equity firm which manages in excess of $1.1 billion of capital.  Wynnchurch invests in complex transactions involving companies in transition including corporate carveouts, underperforming companies, operational turnarounds, restructurings, bankruptcies and other special situations. Wynnchurch invests in companies with revenues in excess of $50 million in aerospace, defense, transportation, building materials, energy, metals, mining, paper and packaging, and business services. Prior to founding Wynnchurch, Mr. Hatherly enjoyed a twelve year career as a senior executive at GE Capital's Merchant Banking Group. Before GE Capital, Mr. Hatherly spent three years in banking with the First National Bank of Chicago and BankOne.
