Ameena Majid Spoke on Using Technology to Fight Modern Slavery

On behalf of Stop the Traffik USA, Ameena Majid spoke on how technology can be used to disrupt the modern slavery industry at an event hosted by the Alliance for Women, PyLadies Chicago and UN Women Chicago on February 27.  Stop the Traffik partners with IBM and Facebook to run awareness campaigns with the mission to build resilient communities, change attitudes, and acquire data to develop predictive patterns.  Ameena has been working with Stop the Traffik USA since 2015 and is a member of its board. The program also included discussions of the legal strategy for addressing modern slavery, which now includes focusing on how businesses must start to address the issue in their operations and supply chains.
