CHICAGO and SAN FRANCISCO (February 21, 2013) – For the second consecutive year, Seyfarth Shaw is pleased to announce that partners Gerald L. Maatman, Jr. and Nicholas C. Geannacopulos have been named BTI Client Service All-Stars based on the nominations of their clients in the latest report from The BTI Consulting Group. Among the 307 attorneys nominated, each Seyfarth partner earned “All-Star MVP” status from BTI, placing them among an elite group of 41 MVPs who were honored for “delivering superior client service year after year.”

Maatman also earned a spot on BTI’s exclusive “Super All-Star” list, which highlights the six attorneys who were recognized by multiple clients for their extraordinary client service. He was praised by clients as “stand out, smart and on point” while being “a thought leader and very strategic.”

Both partners in Seyfarth’s Labor & Employment department, Maatman serves as co-chair of the firm’s Complex Discrimination Litigation practice group and Geannacopulos serves as managing partner of the firm’s San Francisco office. They helped headline a small group of only 28 labor and employment attorneys listed in BTI’s 2013 report.

“We’re honored that our clients continue to recognize the commitment of our attorneys to extraordinary client service,” said Lisa Damon, chair of Seyfarth’s Labor & Employment department. “Jerry and Nick embody our tremendous focus on client service, and we’re delighted to see them honored again.”

According to BTI, Client Service All-Stars were identified solely by candid client feedback, which centered on the following five key factors: Client Focus, Exceptional Understanding of the Client’s Business, Outsized Value, Legal Skills and Outstanding Results. These honors continue Seyfarth’s string of related accolades. In January, Seyfarth was named one of Law360’s Employment Practice Groups of the Year for the second consecutive year and in December, the firm rose to No. 5 on BTI’s annual Client Service A-Team report.
