CHICAGO (August 15, 2013) — Seyfarth Shaw LLP announced that for the third consecutive year, the firm was named among the top 10 in the Working Mother & Flex-Time Lawyers annual “Best Law Firms for Women” list.

Scoring was based on the previous year’s benchmark results, as well as responses to more than 300 questions regarding workforce representation; time off and leaves; child care; flexibility; leadership, compensation and advancement of women; and development and retention of women. Winning firms were also able to demonstrate support for flexible work arrangements and offer general paid paternal leave.

In this year’s summary of winning firms, beyond Seyfarth’s family-friendly policies, the firm was also recognized for its nationwide women’s network and its mentors, sponsors and flextime coaches, which provide a unique platform for women lawyers working at law firms.

Founded in 2007 by Working Mother and Flex-Time Lawyers, the 50 Best Law Firms initiative for Women recognizes law firms that are most successful in retaining and promoting women lawyers. The featured organizations are profiled in the August/September 2013 issue of Working Mother. To read more about the survey, visit
