Seyfarth Shaw Partner Andrew T. Hahn, Sr. Voted President-Elect of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association

New York, NY (October 10, 2007) - Andrew T. Hahn, Sr., a partner in the New York office of Seyfath Shaw,  has been elected President-Elect of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association [NAPABA]. Hahn will assume his new role beginning November 15, the opening day of NAPABA's19th annual national convention to be held this year in Las Vegas.

“I am honored to serve the Asian Pacific American [APA] legal community as President-Elect of NAPABA,” said Hahn.  “As a community, we help each other in a variety of ways -- from mentoring junior attorneys, to referring business to each other, to becoming community or pro bono activists, to providing excellent service to APA in-house attorneys.  As president-elect of NAPABA, my goal is to continue the many programs we have established and to share ideas and experiences on how we can work together to strengthen our organization within the legal profession.”

Hahn, a partner in Seyfarth Shaw’s litigation and employment law practice groups, has long-served Asian and Pacific American legal communities.  Prior to his election as President-Elect, Hahn served as NAPABA’s Vice President for the past two years, from 2005–2006.  He will serve as President-Elect throughout 2008, and president of NAPABA in 2009.  In his local community, Hahn has served the Asian American Bar Association of New York as President (2004), President-Elect (2003), Director (1999–2001), and as a member of the Association’s Judiciary Committee (1993–present). Additionally, Hahn served the Korean American Lawyers’ Association of Greater New York as Chairman of the Board in 2005 and from 1997–2000 he was a member of the Judiciary Committee of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York.

Hahn received his A.B. (cum laude) from Cornell University and his J.D. from Cornell Law School. He also earned an M.B.A. at Marymount University. Hahn is admitted to the state bars of New York and New Jersey.
