More About Andrew

Andrew represents banks, financial institutions, debt funds, businesses, and real estate owners and purchasers involved in complex commercial real estate and financial transactions involving multifamily, hotel, student housing, shopping center, retail, office, and industrial properties. Andrew’s approach is based on a thorough understanding of the business goals of his clients, both on a strategic level and on a transaction-by-transaction basis. He is a deal maker focused on closing deals as efficiently as possible while at the same time protecting his clients' interests on key issues.

Andrew's representations include:

  • Conduit lenders in commercial real estate financings on a nationwide basis in connection with securitized loan programs
  • Financial institutions (including investment banks, banks, debt funds, hedge funds, and insurance companies) in construction, bridge, and permanent financings, mezzanine and A/B tiered structures, leasehold financings, capital markets loans, preferred equity structures, participations and syndicated facilities, acquisition and disposition of loans (collateralized or unsecured), and other structured finance transactions
  • Sellers and purchasers in the acquisition and disposition of all types of commercial real estate, including DST platforms
  • Financial institutions, special servicers and other entities in the restructuring, work out, and foreclosure of real estate loans
  • Landlords and tenants in commercial lease transactions involving all types of real estate
“I tell clients that a deal is not a war, and there is no need to be a hero by winning every battle; it is more important to win the right points and drive the deal to a closing. I know when to take a stern approach, when to move to the next point and when to compromise.”

Andrew is co-chair of the Structured Real Estate Finance group, which is organized to adopt best practices in client service, and train and develop future leaders. All of these goals help the group to better serve our clients who demand a high level of sophistication and competence.

Andrew enjoys the firm's entrepreneurial culture, where attorneys and staff alike share a dedication to providing great client service. He is especially proud of collaborating with clients to build success stories that highlight all the best of Seyfarth: use of dedicated, multidisciplinary teams; integration of advanced technology and process design; and a national, multigeographic approach.
