More About Ashley

Clients come to Ashley for practical, business-minded assistance with issues that arise throughout the employee life cycle, from advice on day-to-day employment matters to representing the company’s interests in litigation and pre-litigation disputes.

Ashley’s practice focuses on representing clients in litigation under federal, state and local employment laws, including discrimination, harassment, wage and hour, restrictive covenant and other claims. She has defended clients in a wide range of industries in single-plaintiff lawsuits and class and collective actions, as well as claims in front of the EEOC, the US Department of Labor and similar state and federal agencies. In addition, Ashley advises on matters such as hiring, wage and hour matters, employee classification, policies and strategic initiatives, trade secrets and restrictive covenants, leave requirements, investigations, reductions in force, discipline and termination decisions and separation agreements.

With over ten years’ experience as in-house counsel for public and private equity-owned companies, Ashley knows what it means to be a true business partner. She understands that a “win” can mean a number of different things depending on the client and the particular circumstances at issue. She works with clients to understand their unique goals in a given matter and then helps them achieve those goals in a manner that best suits the client’s interests. Likewise, she has an understanding of the practical application of the law in the business environment and provides clients with strategic solutions that take into account their capabilities and limitations. Having gone from an individual contributor in a business to senior executive and advisor to the board of directors, Ashley has an ability to work collaboratively with and gain the confidence of all areas and levels of an organization.
