Bernie applies a holistic approach to real estate transactions and document negotiations. His extensive experience makes clients feel comfortable that he understands their goals and objectives. Bernie's experience as a former partner in a commercial real estate practice, and as in-house general counsel in real estate development firms have led him to approach solutions from both a legal and business perspective.

Bernie represents landlords and tenants on all matters of commercial leasing, including subleasing, ground leasing, net leasing, and office and retail leasing. He also has experience representing owners and developers with respect to commercial real estate, asset management, asset purchase and sales, mixed-use development, and contract negotiations. His practice focuses on all aspects of commercial real estate law, including subleases, property acquisitions, sales, and financing, as well as in general commercial matters.

Prior to joining Seyfarth, Bernie served as executive vice president and general counsel for several developers in New York, and has subsequently been involved in a variety of real estate development projects.
