More About Dorothy

Employers must comply with ever-changing laws and regulations, manage situations that require quick action, and defend against legal claims that arise despite their best efforts. Dorothy helps clients navigate these legal challenges with thoughtfulness and understanding.

Dorothy provides practical counsel to employers on their day-to-day legal issues and helps them implement best practices and policies. She advises on a wide range of legal matters, including employment policies and handbooks, recruitment, hiring, discipline, terminations, accommodations, leaves of absence, anti-discrimination practices, internal investigations, and wage and hour compliance. Dorothy focuses on litigation prevention with her clients, but when disputes arise, she is an effective advocate. She has represented employers before state and federal courts and administrative agencies.

Dorothy’s in-house counsel experience provides her with unique insight into the legal challenges that general counsel and human resources face, along with an understanding of the ways outside counsel can help clients prevent, manage, and litigate employment law issues. She is a team player and takes the time to learn about each client’s business, so she can address their specific legal matters.
