More About Garreth

Garreth's practice focuses on complex commercial litigation facing the energy, health care, and related industries. Garreth has represented several of the world’s largest upstream and midstream energy companies in contractual and business tort disputes. He has also rendered numerous legal opinions on operator, oil field services, fuel distribution, vessel charter, indemnity, and arbitration agreements, as well as insurance policies and other commercial documents.

Garreth provides highly effective legal representation through an aggressive and analytical approach to litigation while maintaining continuous client communication. Having consulted or worked for corporate clients in a mix of industries on four continents through business school projects, Garreth brings global and practical experience and insight to his practice. Specifically, he understands that geopolitical events and a dynamic global market may frustrate the best intentions of parties to a contract, and therefore, effective legal representation goes beyond merely winning at trial. It requires knowing when to counsel for a resolution that minimizes the financial, investor perception, and public relations risks inherent in litigation and that preserves clients’ national and international business-to-business relationships.

Outside of the courtroom, Garreth dedicates his time to the support of the arts as an active member of the Houston Symphony Young Associates Council and Houston Museum of Fine Arts’ American Art and Wine Group. Having studied music at the university level and performed as a solo pianist, he is also an avid attendee of Steinway & Sons’ local studio concerts.
