More About Janice

As health care law continues to evolve, health care organizations need to remain compliant, while adapting to a changing marketplace. Janice brings a unique experience and knowledge to this context, helping her clients tackle a wide range of issues, mitigate risk, and plan strategically.

Janice’s practice focuses on complex regulatory and reimbursement matters, and she assists health care providers in meeting the challenges of navigating Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, billing and coding, licensure and accreditation, and compliance with Medicare fraud and abuse requirements.

As a former general counsel for a federally qualified health center, Janice has a unique, operations-oriented perspective. This allows her to provide practical advice to clients looking to manage the day-to-day operational challenges faced by health care organizations. She has counseled her clients through the development and implementation of collaborative care models, clinically integrated networks, patient safety organizations, and employer-sponsored on-site health clinics. She also has significant experience on issues related to 340B drug pricing program implementation, compliance and advocacy.

Janice joined the firm in 2018, attracted by Seyfarth's cultural values and mission in addition to the firm’s robust health care industry team. The firm’s emphasis on working with impact projects has allowed Janice to work pro bono on a new care health care model for at-risk seniors in the community.
