Howard Pianko to speak at ERISA Fiduciary Investment Basics 2012 seminar

On Wednesday, February 8, 2012, Howard Pianko will participate on a panel of speakers to discuss the basics of ERISA fiduciary law at the ERISA Fiduciary Investment Basics 2012 seminar hosted by the Practising Law Institute.   

At this year’s program, attendees will learn about the principal issues in ERISA fiduciary regulation through the use of a real world hypothetical, analyzing step by step, the establishment and operation of a plan asset hedge fund.  Throughout the day, expert panels will help identify the many ERISA considerations and issues that can and do arise during the process.  Each panel will be comprised of a team or teams of speakers who will discuss the relevant issues from the perspectives of:

• The Fund and its Manager
• A Pension Plan Investor and its Investment Committee
• The Fund’s Prime Broker
• A Broker-Dealer Counterparty
