Biography
Mr. Leet is an associate in the Los Angeles office of Seyfarth Shaw LLP and is a member of the Real Estate and Corporate Practice Groups. Mr. Leet has experience representing property owners, landlords and tenants, institutional lenders, trustees, and investors in a wide variety of corporate and real estate transactions, including land acquisitions and dispositions, public and private offerings, joint ventures, commercial office, industrial and retail leasing, taxable and tax-exempt financings, and asset securitizations. He also regularly advises clients with respect to general corporate governance and the formation of taxable and tax-exempt entities.
Mr. Leet has extensive experience drafting and negotiating leases ranging from 5,000 to 300,000 rentable square feet. He has represented landlords and tenants in resolving lease disputes relating to assignment and subletting, operating expense calculations, hazardous substances, and premises restoration at the end of the term. Mr. Leet also has experience advising clients with respect to the remediation of environmentally contaminated properties.
