Mr. Meilman is a partner in the Tax Practice Group of Seyfarth Shaw LLP, based in the New York office of the Firm. His experience is in structuring, negotiating, documenting and closing domestic and cross-border commercial finance transactions, which he has done for a broad array of clients in the financial services, utility, renewable energy, insurance, manufacturing, real estate, transportation and other sectors. He also has substantial experience in obtaining tax rulings and in tax controversy matters.  Mr. Meilman has routinely represented public and private corporations, partnerships, trusts, and CMBS master and special servicers as well as governmental entities in matters involving federal, state and local income and other taxes.
