Biography
Sarah Touzalin is a counsel in the Chicago office who practices in all aspects of employee benefits law, with a primary focus on matters involving qualified retirement plans. Sarah has extensive experience counseling clients with 401(k) plan design issues, qualified and non-qualified plan compliance review, the preparation of plan documents, amendments and participant communication materials, and tax withholding and reporting requirements relating to both qualified and non-qualified retirement plans. In addition, Sarah frequently works with plan sponsors and the IRS and DOL to resolve qualified and non-qualified plan document and operational errors.
While completing her LL.M. in Employee Benefits, Ms. Touzalin completed a unique externship at the U.S. Department of Treasury, Office of Benefits Tax Counsel, where she worked on regulation drafting projects with Treasury, IRS and DOL officials.
