Carolyn D. Richmond, of counsel in the New York office of Seyfarth Shaw LLP, will be participating in the upcoming Lorman Education Services Teleconference, Managing Technology in the Workplace: From Blogging to Surveillance.

This topic could not be more timely for the human resources executive or manager, in-house counsel or even IT director as "blogging" and other new technology that is entering the workplace is creating a dangerous new risk for the employer. To date, 75,000 new blogs are created everyday - many of them are being read on working time. Additionally, blogs present a fast and easy way for confidential and trade-secret information to be disseminated across the internet. The addition of cameras to cell phones is also presenting a new security risk to workplaces. These topics and others will be addressed in the seminar. The status of an ever-evolving law and suggested changes to workplace policies will be reviewed.

Teleconference Time: 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. EST
