Whistleblower Claims Under the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX)

On October 28, 2010 from 12:15 pm to 1:00 pm Central Time,  the YLS Labor & Employment Law Committee of The Chicago Bar Association will hold their October meeting. Steven Pearlman of Seyfarth Shaw LLP will lead a lively discussion on litigating whistleblower claims under the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX). SOX whistleblower retaliation claims have become an increasing concern for employers due to the current economic environment and heightened governmental scrutiny of corporate compliance. Moreover, the recently enacted Dodd-Frank legislation has had a substantial impact on SOX whistleblower retaliation litigation. Lawyers practicing in this area will gain insight into the key issues to consider when representing employers and employees in this emerging area of labor and employment law.
