Every employer who has done business in California knows there is a confusing maze of state agencies, boards and commissions with authority over California employers and their employees.  Many learn for the first time about the existence of a particular agency when they receive an unwelcome document, such as a discrimination charge, a wage claim or an appeal notice, in the mail.  Being familiar with the purpose and procedures of each agency can be important both in preventing issues from arising and in fashioning the best response.

Please join us for the first in a series of planned webinars presented by members of our California Workplace Solutions group.  In this webinar, we will offer an overview of the rule-making, enforcement and adjudicatory bodies that affect the lives of California employers, and offer practical advice, insights and strategies for dealing with them.  We will focus on the entities housed under the California Department of Industrial Relations, the Department of Fair Employment & Housing, and the Employment Development Department.
