About the Program

After a number of false starts during the course of the pandemic, US workers are finally returning to the office in many industries.  As a part of this shift back to in-person work, employers are grappling with a variety of issues as they move their workforces from remote work to a new normal of working in the office.

During this webinar, Seyfarth subject matter experts answer common questions that employers have as they navigate returning to in-person work while still dealing with COVID-19, including:

  • Should employers have a vaccine mandate for all employees, only for those who regularly work in the office, or only for those who interact with the public or are customer/client-facing?  With federal vaccine mandates currently off the table, what are the state law restrictions on employer vaccine mandates?
  • Apart from mandating vaccines, what should employers do to continue mitigating workplace COVID-19 transmission?
  • What should employers expect from federal and state authorities regarding enforcement of COVID-19 safety protocols (including in heavily regulated industries)?
  • How should employers handle accommodation requests from workers that are based on COVID-19 as a “disability”?  To what extent is COVID-19 a disability?
