More About Geoffrey

Workplace laws have become increasingly complex. Geoff helps California and national businesses understand these laws, anticipate unforeseen challenges, and resolve litigation and other headaches that slow down businesses and hurt the bottom line. Client service is the cornerstone of Geoff's law practice. From here, it is all about practical, accurate, and timely answers to his clients' wage-hour, privacy, labor, and other employment law questions.

Geoff serves organizations in nearly every sector of the health care industry. He helps medical groups, hospitals, home health care companies, staffing agencies, and other organizations navigate an ever-increasing regulatory field, respond to union activity, address agency investigations, and defend whistleblower and other complex litigation. Geoff has successfully defended national employers in state and federal trials to verdict and in private arbitration.

Geoff's litigation record includes defense verdicts in state and federal court and in private arbitration; wins before state and federal agencies (DLSE, NLRB, WCAB); successful anti-SLAPP, demurrer, and motions for summary judgment resulting in complete dismissal of employment lawsuits; complete walk-away settlements (plaintiffs dropping the case for a waiver of defense costs); and appellate victories before the California Courts of Appeal and the US Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal. Geoff has defended some of the most contentious and high-profile investigations initiated by the Director for the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing, and the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

Managing the costs of litigation is critical for nearly all US businesses. Geoff applies Seyfarth's data management resources, deep bench of litigation counselors, and the litigation platform SeyfarthLink to streamline the delivery of legal services. His goal for every project or litigation matter is efficiency, accuracy, and proper staffing.

"I am passionate about solving challenging workplace issues. I see myself as a partner in all of my clients. If they are working late, I am working late. We are in this together."
