Anti-Corruption Report quoted Teddie Arnold in its article, “Understanding and Mitigating Risk of Organizational Conflicts of Interest for Government Vendors,” on March 13. Arnold discussed how companies advising the US government on procuring a product or service, and then bidding to be the actual provider, may run afoul of the rules on organizational conflicts of interest.

“The PIA prohibits disclosure and receipt of certain procurement-related information. It also contains rules addressing employment contracts and compensation bans for current and former government officials. These latter rules typically apply to government officials involved in specifications, drafting statements of work, evaluating business proposals and selecting sources.”
