Mr. Gagnon is an associate in the Chicago office of Seyfarth Shaw LLP. A member of the Labor & Employment Department, he focuses his practice on Complex Discrimination and Wage and Hour Litigation.

Mr. Gagnon has experience with class and collective actions alleging violations of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and collective actions under the Fair Labor Standards Act. He has handled discrimination cases with respect to gender and the use of credit checks as part of the hiring process. He also has experience defending companies involved in complex litigation alleging various wage and hour violations, including state and federal wage, overtime, minimum wage and other laws. Mr. Gagnon’s clients have included financial firms, academic institutions, staffing agencies, restaurants, and retailers.

A significant portion of Mr. Gagnon’s practice entails litigation against the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), both at the early charge stage and in large-scale EEOC pattern-and-practice litigation. When the EEOC has resorted to litigation, Mr. Gagnon has been instrumental in defending our clients against those high-profile, systemic cases to achieve efficient and effective case resolution.
